Following a career in retail, Tracy Allen decided to help children through fostering whilst bringing up her family and running the family property development business.
Having fostered children with FASD for over 18 years, Tracy’s strive for a greater understanding of the condition, the need to build a network of professionals with the necessary knowledge, and her tenacity to help others led her to launch the FASD Awareness Campaign in 2015 with a friend.
Tracy worked for over a decade as a volunteer for the Charity Medway Mediation, honing her skills in mediation, anger management, FGC and advocacy.
In 2016 she co-founded the Charity FASD Awareness South East. In 2018, FASD Awareness South East registered as a charity, and the launch of its #BeAware campaign a year later became the national organisation FASD Awareness.
In 2018, Tracy and her family set up a business, TPA Supported Living, providing high-quality supported living opportunities, exclusive activities and bespoke support packages for adults with learning disabilities.
Her goal now is to support FASD Awareness, the charity partner for Kent and Medway Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), and continue to be an integral part of developing and implementing their strategy and commissioning priorities in line with the new FASD NICE guidelines.
